Liam Turbett, Senior Consultant

MA (Hons) History

Having been with EKOS since 2014, Liam has gained extensive experience in undertaking economic and social research across all of the company’s core areas. He is skilled in interpreting qualitative and quantitative data, undertaking and managing primary research, socio-economic analysis, and in graphics and design.

Liam works with clients including local and national government, public sector agencies, and community groups in the development of feasibility studies, business cases and action plans, helping to inform project and programme development.

His work also takes in economic impact assessments, user research, and evaluation. Recent projects have covered a broad range of sectors, including places (such as town centres, built heritage, and rural areas), tourism, arts and culture, equalities, and skills and business development. 

He has a detailed working knowledge of a wide range of official statistics, including NOMIS (business and employment data), the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation, Scottish Annual Business Statistics, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, and ONS datasets.

He also has experience in managing programmes of primary research, including large scale online surveys, and in facilitating focus groups and workshops, using a range of innovative research methods.
