Rick Rijsdijk, Senior Consultant
Rick Rijsdijk is an experienced consultant that specialises in developing the potential of community projects, social enterprises, community facilities, and neighbourhood services. He has provided consultancy support to organisations across Scotland, Holland, and the Philippines. He has a strong track record of success in assisting communities to acquire, develop, manage and sustain local land and buildings. Rick brings particular expertise in feasibility assessment, business planning, financial planning, fundraising, contracting, and income generation.
Rick has a varied background and experience. Prior to joining EKOS he held positions with West Dumbartonshire Council (Lead Funding Officer), the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability (business manager), Carman Social Inclusion Centre (Manager), and the Visayas Co-operative Development Centre (Business Consultant). He was also a founding Director of the Renton Community Development and a former Director of the Development Trusts Association Scotland. In his native Holland he acquired degrees in Law and Art History, and pursued careers as a freelance management consultant and lawyer.
