Regina Trenkler-Fraser, Associate Director
Regina leads our Regional Policy Unit. She is a highly experienced economic development professional specialising in the design, implementation and evaluation of European Structural Funds programmes and local economic and employment development initiatives. Regina manages pre-dominantly large-scale programme evaluations and studies covering a comprehensive range of themes including rural, sustainable, and urban development. Her particular strengths are in working in complex, integrative, and multi-dimensional environments at the European, national, regional, as well as at the local level.
As a practitioner for many years, Regina has implemented a wide range of projects in local employment generation and business development focusing on transnational know-how transfer initiatives throughout Europe. Regina graduated as regional geographer in Germany, researched regional policy in Portugal, and undertook a traineeship with the European Commission in Belgium before she came to Britain. She started her work with EKOS in 1999.
