Our consultants have backgrounds in academia, economic development agencies, community organisations and the private sector, bringing a range of different perspectives to our work.
John Kelly, Director
John Kelly is one of two EKOS Company Directors and has been with the company since 1995. He is a professional economist with over 30 years experience in economic development, having held a range of senior management positions within the public sector in the Scottish Development Agency and Scottish Enterprise, and in the private corporate sector in the oil and gas industry. In his public sector roles, he has held senior positions in physical development and regeneration, key sector development, industry policy and new ventures and enterprise.
He has particular consultancy experience in economic policy and strategy development, public sector infrastructure policy development, project and programme appraisals, project development and business planning, and evaluation of multi dimensional public policy programmes. John also has specific expertise in strategic regeneration having led the business and masterplanning teams responsible for developing a number of Urban Regeneration Companies (URCs).
John is also a Chartered Surveyor and member of the RICS Regeneration Policy Forum which advises the Institute on strategic regeneration policy.
