James Adam, Associate Director
James Adam jointly leads our Enterprise and Innovation Unit. He is a professional economist with particular expertise in evaluation, economic impact assessment, monitoring frameworks and economic and social research methods. He has experience across a range of different sectors, priority industries and different forms of business intervention. James also leads our work on tourism projects and economic impact assessment of major sporting and cultural events. He is known for his clear and objective approach, and has built a substantial client base and reputation for robust and authoritative work.
Prior to joining EKOS in 1999, James worked for two other economic consultancies – EDAW and Mackay Consultants. He has an Honours degree in Economics and is a member of EDAS (Economic Development Association Scotland).
